On July 17, Mr. Alan Hugh Price, President of the International Renewable Energy Equipment Recycling Association (IREERA), paid a visit to the Committee for Wind and Solar Equipment Recycling under the China National Resources Recycling Association (CRRA-CWSER). The two sides held in-depth exchanges on domestic and global development trends and solutions concerning the full-life-cycle circular utilization of wind and photovoltaic power equipment.

The discussion centered on the challenges and opportunities of circular utilization amid the global wave of wind and PV equipment decommissioning. President Price spoke highly of China’s achievements in renewable energy equipment recycling. He noted that China’s huge market and innovative practices are critical to the global green transition, and shared Europe’s technological explorations, policies, regulations, and decommissioning volumes in wind turbine blade recycling and high-value photovoltaic material recovery.
The Committee elaborated on China’s technological pathways, standards system development, and demonstration project outcomes for wind and PV equipment circular utilization. Both sides engaged in practical discussions on key topics of mutual interest, including business model innovation and green supply chain development.
The two parties agreed to establish a close cooperation mechanism. Leveraging its global network, IREERA will promote China’s advanced technologies, equipment and solutions to international markets. Both sides reached consensus that the extensive participation of Chinese enterprises will serve as a vital driving force to scale up, improve efficiency and green the global wind and PV recycling industry. The two organizations will jointly contribute to building a sustainable industrial ecosystem for renewable energy.
